Project Guiding Light

Why We Do It?

Our mission is rooted in the belief that healing and hope should be available to everyone — including those behind bars. Too often, incarcerated individuals struggle with untreated mental health conditions and substance abuse, trapped in a system that punishes instead of supports. We are driven by the need to change that. Our organization works to provide mental health services, recovery resources, and ongoing support to incarcerated people, while also engaging with the wider community to promote understanding, compassion, and lasting change. By addressing these issues at their core, we not only help individuals rebuild their lives — we strengthen entire communities.

  • Healthcare

Lavon Davis maintains a disciplined and active lifestyle, consistently working out every day with a routine that includes sprinting, push-ups, and sit-ups to stay physically strong and energized. He also prioritizes his mental well-being by participating in support groups and medication management groups, while regularly practicing meditation to stay centered and focused. Beyond his personal growth, Lavon is deeply committed to helping others—he actively socializes with people, offering emotional support and encouragement to those in need. Known for being a reliable provider and a standout individual, Lavon is respected for his dedication to uplifting those around him and making a positive impact in his community.

  • Infrastructure

Lavon Davis exemplifies the transformative power of resilience and community dedication. While incarcerated, Lavon confronted the harsh realities of his past, including a long and difficult battle with substance abuse. Rather than let his struggles define him, he used them as fuel to build something greater. From within the walls of his cell, he began laying the groundwork for a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping others break the cycles of addiction, incarceration, and hopelessness. Upon his release, Lavon brought his vision to life—creating a safe, supportive space for individuals returning home from jail or prison. His organization has become a pillar in the community, hosting recovery-centered events, donation drives, and mentorship programs that provide tangible resources and emotional healing. Today, Lavon stands not only as a survivor but as a leader, proving that recovery is possible and that one person’s healing journey can light the way for many

Join Us

We use donations to provide life-changing support for individuals and families affected by mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Every contribution helps us fund essential services such as counseling, peer support groups, educational workshops, crisis intervention, and community outreach programs. These resources not only offer immediate assistance but also empower individuals on their journey to long-term recovery and healing. With your support, we can break the stigma, expand access to care, and build a compassionate community where no one has to face these struggles alone.
